Coffee, community and a commitment to education
Gibsons Coffee supported the Strathmore Annual Run, bringing together a love of Kenyan coffee and a belief in opportunity through education.

Gibsons Coffee welcomed a team from the Strathmore University Foundation to its factory as part of its support for the Strathmore Annual Run. The visit offered an opportunity to meet the people behind the coffee and celebrate a shared commitment to the next generation.
For Mathew Mugo, Founder & CEO of Gibsons Coffee, the connection is personal. A Strathmore University School of Accountancy alumnus, he welcomed the team to the factory—a meeting that brought his university ties and the company’s support for education together.
Giving back, together.
In its announcement ahead of the run, the Foundation thanked Gibsons Coffee for its contribution and invited coffee lovers to the Strathmore University Sports Complex on 5 September. Plans for the Gibsons tent included free coffee tasting and products available at special, subsidised prices.
The partnership reflects the role a local business can play in bringing people together around education, community and a good cup of coffee.
